The PoE+ ONU DM986-400P is an excellent optical access solution utilizing GPON technology, offering high speed and cost-effectiveness for broadband applications and Triple Play services (voice, video, and data). This technology enables the sharing of optical fiber among customers, reducing costs and maximizing the utilization of bandwidth and installed fibers.

The DM986-400P is a GPON ONU compliant with ITU-T G.984 and ITU-T G.988 standards for access applications in primarily PON LAN networks, due to its native support for Power Over Ethernet. This enables the connection of IP Phones, CCTV Monitoring Cameras, Access Points, and other devices. Ethernet data is transparently transported over the GPON link and delivered to an Optical Line Termination (OLT) unit, such as DM4610, DM4611, DM4612, DM4615, DM4618, and other OLTs.

The ONU features four electrical 10/100/1000Mbps Ethernet interfaces (Base-T) with PoE (802.3af 15W) / PoE+ (802.3at 30W) support with adaptive power, meaning it can detect and automatically provide power to devices compliant with IEEE802.3af/at standards, totaling up to 120W per ONU.

Its mounting flexibility allows for installation on a desk or wall, providing a versatile solution for various environments and network requirements.
